On Sunday, September 15, 2019, the Lakehead Orillia Extramural Men's Hockey team participated in the Annual O-Cup Hockey Game versus Georgian College Orillia. This annual tradition has occurred every September since 2012, as a way to welcome students on both campuses. The O-Cup was awarded to Lakehead Orillia as they clinched the title for the second year in a row. Prior to 2018, the Thunderwolves had only won bragging rights one other time. In return for claiming the cup, the opposing school’s Dean wears the winning team’s jersey for a full day. It is a very special tradition between Lakehead Orillia and Georgian Orillia, and we are grateful to have such a strong relationship with the local Orillia college. Congratulations to Lakehead’s Thunderwolves on this 11-1 victory!
