‘Tis the Season to Shop Online!

This holiday season, we have to start our Christmas shopping as quickly as possible! Being restricted by COVID-19’s social distancing rules, your best bet may be to shop online this year: and more than ever, postal services in December will likely be delayed. So, ‘tis the season! Here are some online shopping options in Canada:

Saje Natural Wellness

Saje was founded in British Columbia and offers 100% natural products to its customers. Currently offering free shipping on orders over $50, they also stock some great gift sets for the holiday season. Essential oils, sprays, diffusers and more are all selling at reasonable prices. The company also works with government bodies to officially determine that all of their products are safe, natural, and effective.

They also have free shipping on all orders over $35. Their makeup is vigorously tested to ensure clean, vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free products that include tons of superfoods and antioxidants. Etsy

Unique gifts from independent sellers on a secure site! Right now, Etsy’s home page is full to the brim with Christmas sales, personalized gifts, ornaments, necklaces, stocking fillers, and face masks. Not only does this site allow for social-distanced shopping and incredibly unique options, but it means supporting Canadian artists during a time when small businesses are struggling.

Amazon

Amazon is a quick, efficient, and typically quite cost-effective way to get all your shopping done in one place. We always recommend shopping local before turning to a large company: however, Amazon is a consistently safe bet for all your shopping needs, and sometimes, as students, we just don’t have the cash for all local gifts. Bonus: as a student, prime memberships are 50% off!

Best Buy

Technology shipped right to your house! Best Buy has free shipping on orders over $35, low prices, and extended holiday return policies. Additionally, on Monday, November 30, 2020 they host is Cyber Monday. If you don’t know, Cyber Monday is the best time to buy technology at the lowest prices- there are big sales on all kind of products! As a student, you may also want to gift yourself a new laptop with all this online schooling- you deserve it!

Pretty Little Thing

Pretty Little Thing is a UK-based clothing company that also ships to Canada. Although not based in Canada, the brand donates to five charities monthly: Emmeline’s Pantry, Mustard Tree, British Heart Foundation, The Salvation Army and Manchester Women’s Aid. In 2020, they also donated over $100,000 towards Black Lives Matter initiatives. So when you shop here, you’re getting cute clothes and helping others: is there really a better way to give?
