The Argus is governed by a constitution that has been ratified by a two-thirds majority of the Argus executive and editorial staff, and approved by the Editorial Review Board.

The constitution lays out the function of the newspaper, the rules that govern membership within the Argus, staff members’ job descriptions, the appeals process for complaints, the annual elections policy, and much more.

Any student wishing to contribute to the Argus or become a member are encouraged to read through this document to better understand the process involved and the rights and privileges afforded to all Lakehead students and Argus members.

The Argus constitution was last revised and ratified in February 2012. The constitution is reviewed every year, usually in late February or early March.
