Positivi-Tea is Coming to LU for International Women’s Day 2023

Student Life International is hosting an informative International Women’s Day event over a cup of tea. 🫖

Wednesday, March 8, 2023, is International Women’s Day, and Student Life International in Thunder Bay is gearing up to explore the meaning of this global celebration. From 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the International Lounge on March 8th, Lakehead students are invited to attend a discussion wherein they will explore the meaning of International Women’s Day.

Focussing on themes of gender equity and the consent practice, this session is an incredible opportunity to apprehend a deeper understanding of why nations gather to celebrate women on March 8th. Traditionally, International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate how far the global women’s rights movement has come, but how does it apply to us here at Lakehead? How can we use our resources to do more?
