Live Music Returns to Thunder Bay!
After a long hiatus due to Covid lockdowns and restrictions, live music is returning to Thunder Bay! Music venues and bars are able to operate at full capacity, although mask mandates and screening tools still remain in place.
After much anticipation, Black Pirates Pub has reopened their stage for live performances. They’re kicking off their return with five nights of local music from March 17th-19th, and 25th-26th. You can view the full line up and purchase tickets on the Black Pirates Pub Facebook or website. Additionally, Toronto Hardcore-Punk band, the Cancer Bats are gracing the stage once again on April 13th. You can purchase tickets through the Black Pirates Pub eventbrite.
Notably, American rapper Polo G is coming to the Fort William Gardens on May 19th 2022. Polo G’s “Rapstar” was nominated for the 2021 VMA’s for Best Artist and the 2021 BritAwards International Song of the Year. There are still tickets for the show available through NV Music Hall.
Multi-Juno Award winners, the Glorious Sons have been rescheduled to return to Thunder Bay June 13th, 2022. The Glorious Sons have eight consecutive top-10 rock radio hits on Canadian charts. Strikingly, the band reached their first No.1 on the U.S Mainstream Rock Songs billboard chart in 2019, with their single “S.O.S”. They are performing at the Community Auditorium with Kitchener-born rock musician JJ Wilde. Tickets are still available through TicketMaster.
