Being a university student is costly. It may feel burdensome and dismaying to juggle grades, financial stability, social life, rest, and student involvement. However, Lakehead has many services on campus and online that can mitigate this stress and relieve the intensity of your responsibilities. So, I have provided you with an overview of the financial opportunities that Lakehead offers in one place!
Career Services:
Career services can be found on the Lakehead University website and your mysuccess account. They provide diverse and fruitful opportunities for building your resume, preparing for your future, and becoming more knowledgeable in the resources you have as a student. Explicitly, career services supply monthly skill growth workshops, career-searching sessions, career fairs, networking events, co-op, part-time, and graduate job search, and online resources. Here are are some examples:
Co-Curricular Record:
The co-curricular record is connected to career services and is responsible for documenting your not-for-credit contributions at Lakehead. These experiences include volunteering, governance, teams, leadership, paid positions, and more. The co-curricular method is an effective way to gain transferable skills, accentuate your academic transcript, and meet new people.
To access your co-curricular record, log into mysucces, and you will find the option at the top of the page.
Finally, your co-curricular positions should be submitted and validated before April 30th. Your requests will be approved within two weeks by the validators.
