S.O.C.A. WE LOVE!

The Students of the Caribbean (S.O.C.A.) club is a vibrant and inclusive community that aims to  celebrate and promote Caribbean culture within the diverse student population.

Our primary mission is to foster a sense of belonging and pride among Caribbean students while  promoting cultural exchange and understanding within the wider student body. By organizing  various events and activities, our club aims to create a welcoming space for individuals  interested in exploring the rich tapestry of Caribbean traditions, customs, and history.

Run by Chelsea Warren, who is also a member of the current Argus team, S.O.C.A. hosts a wide  array of events throughout the academic year, catering to both Caribbean students and those  interested in all things Caribbean. These activities include cultural showcases and social events where students can experience our music, dances, and traditional attire. These events aim to  educate and engage the audience in the multiculturalism of the islands while still fostering a  sense of camaraderie and friendship. Our members include persons with backgrounds from  Trinidad, Tobago, Guyana, Jamaica, Barbados and many more!
